At Secret Items, we work with the most popular miniature scales in the tabletop world — 28mm and 32mm — measured from the base of the feet to eye level, without including the base. These industry standards ensure compatibility across games, painting projects, and collections.

These scales are named after the height of an average human in that scale, measured from the feet to eye level. For example, in 28 mm scale, this means a human figure measures 28 mm from feet to eyes. Smaller creatures are scaled proportionally. For example, a creature that is half the height of a human—such as a gnome—would measure 14 mm from feet to eye level in 28 mm scale.
